About Rev. Melissa Ebken
I am an experienced pastor, serving in Central Illinois for 22+ years. I trained in Bowen Theory (Emotional Family Systems) and was certified in Transformative Mediation through the Lombard Mennonite Peace Center. I was called into ministry, after becoming a biologist and serving for ten years in the Illinois Army National Guard as a utility helicopter mechanic, the first woman to do so in Illinois.
My passion in ministry is to help churches be a vital partner in their communities. Communities with healthy and active churches are great places to live.
I am at home in the difficult spaces of peoples’ lives, willing to listen and to walk with those who struggle and suffer. I am a trained coach and have consulted with churches in conflict, just like yours. If you are ready, together we can make a difference in your church.
